This project and our team acknowledge that our work spans across the traditional, unceded territories of many Coast Salish First Nations in what is now colonially referred to as part of ‘British Columbia’. We respectfully acknowledge the lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) peoples and the lands of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ peoples on whose territories this project operates from. We also gratefully acknowledge the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) peoples on whose land this project will engage in research events. We gratefully recognize that these lands have been cared for by Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. It is on these lands that this project is able to exist.
